We are located on the shore of Playa Juanito Mora, a fantastic Osa Peninsula beach with calm warm water full of fish and dolphins and sea turtles.
Most visitors would find themselves not needing to venture beyond the property as often as you might anticipate. You won't find yourself needing to go to the park to see all of the nature and wildlife because you will think you are in it. The grounds are full of entertainment including a constant flow of 3 different species of monkeys, toucans, scarlet macaws, and too many different species of bird life to count. You will think you're in the middle of the Corcovado National Park (along with a beach in the front yard), without going anywhere. We are located about 10 minutes from Puerto Jimenez, a much larger port town that offers all the amenities such as restaurants, bars, banks/ATMs, pharmacies, medical facilities, tour operators, a commercial airport, and plenty of shopping.
We are just a short drive to Matapalo for some of the best surfing on earth!

Playa Juanito Mora is a quiet out of the way beach, quietly tucked away on the Golfo Dulce Bay, The water is always warm and calm. It's also very shallow making it a great swimmers beach too. It’s always a very relaxing beach and always safe for swimming for everyone young and old. You may see an occasional fisherman, or a local walking, but for the most part, if you want to bask in the sun, exercise, or just take quiet walks on the beach, you'll have it all to yourselves!
Costa Rica has a high season and a green season. The green season is basically from Sept to early Dec. mainly because it rains more. I wouldn't let the rain deter you from coming to CR in any month though. It's always beautiful. It mostly rains in the afternoons in the green season. There is plenty to see and do all year around, rain or shine. The Osa is always a haven for a rich diversity of flora and fauna, and always an abundance of marine life including dolphins, whale sharks and Humpback whales. If you want to see and experience this amazing phenomena of the Humpbacks, they come down from Alaska to the Golfo Dulce between mid July, and early October. But any time of the year, the Golfo Dulce directly in front of the property is full of dolphins, whales and whalesharks, manta rays, sea turtles, schooling fish and sea birds.
Directly across the Golfo Dulce is Piedras Blancas National Park, this is the countries least visited National Park and is accessible by boat only. There is also Fundacion Santuario Silvestre de Osa which provides wildlife rescue and rehabilitation for orphaned, injured and displaced animals indigenous to the southern zone of Costa Rica.
The Neighborhood
We are located about about 10 minutes from Puerto Jimenez and about 30 minutes from Matapalo. Puerto Jimenez offers several restaurants, bars, banks/ATM's, pharmacies, medical facilities, tour operators, a commercial airport, and plenty of shopping.
Getting Around
You have several choices on transportation. We are about 5-6 hours by car from the Santa Maria International airport near San Jose, or 45 minutes by air if you prefer to fly into Puerto Jimenez on one of the local airlines (Nature Air or Sansa). Car rentals are available at the Puerto Jimenez airport and the airport near San Jose.
If you choose to fly on one of the local airlines into Puerto Jimenez we suggest you schedule your inbound flights for early time arrivals into Costa Rica. If you can't arrange for an early arrival or get in too late, plan to stay at a hotel near the airport, then fly in to Puerto Jimenez bright and early the next morning.
